Learn How To Color Coordinate Your Suit
Posted on January 13th, 2009 No commentsMost men know that certain events call for a a suit rather than the normal everyday pair of jeans and white tee shirt. However, most men also do not have any idea how to color coordinate their suit with the rest of their wardrobe.
This article was written to help men discover the secrets of color coordinating their suits. I will go over a few scenarios that might be used in a particular wardrobe.
Color coordination can come in the form of matching colors exactly, matching darkness and lightness between differing colors, and matching the same colors with different shades. If your starting to feel confused, don’t worry I will explain this in more detail in the following paragraphs.
Colors can be matched to themselves quite easily. However, make sure not to match colors to themselves in solid patterns that touch each other.
The same color can be matched up to its lighter or darker version. This can be demonstrated by wearing a navy blue suit jacket with a light blue button up shirt.
Matching colors in different shades can be a great look and is often times used to add diversity to a man’s style. A great example of this would be to wear a pink shirt with a purple tie.
Mixing the three ways of color coordinating outfits can be a really fun experience. Try wearing a charcoal gray suit jacket with a light gray shirt and a white pocket handkerchief to complete the trifecta.
The combinations that can be created with these three types of color coordinating are endless and when combined with coordinating styles and patters can provide you with a killer look. As always thank you for reading my article.
